The deal, in plain words.

What the service is, how billing works, and what a report is not.

What Validatyr is

Validatyr takes a description of a business or app idea, gathers public material about the market it would enter, and produces a scored report. The report is generated by an AI pipeline from that public material. It is a research aid, not a guarantee, a forecast, or professional advice.

You need an account to use it. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.

Plans, runs and packs

The free plan includes a fixed number of validation runs per month. Pro is a recurring subscription with a higher monthly allowance and access to Pro features such as report chat and PDF export. Run packs are one-time purchases that add runs to your balance and do not expire with the month.

A run is counted when a report completes. A run that fails before a report is produced is not counted against you.

Billing and renewal

On iOS and Android, purchases are billed by Apple or Google respectively, and their terms apply alongside these. On the web, purchases are billed by Paddle as merchant of record. We never see your card details.

Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancel any time in your Apple ID subscriptions, Google Play subscriptions, or your Validatyr account page on the web. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. For web purchases, contact us at the address below. When a run pack is refunded, the runs it added are removed from your balance.

Prices are shown in your store's local currency before you confirm. We may change prices for future periods; an existing subscription is not repriced without notice from the store.

Your content

The ideas you submit and the reports produced from them are yours. We use them only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. You may delete them, individually or entirely, at any time from the app.

Reports quote and attribute public material such as app store reviews and forum posts. That material belongs to whoever wrote it and is reproduced for analysis and commentary.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to harass, defame, or target identifiable individuals, to generate material that is unlawful where you are, or to probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. Do not resell access or share one account across many people. We may suspend accounts that do.

No warranty

Validatyr is provided as is. Reports may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong; scores are a model's opinion of public signals, not a measure of what will happen. Decisions you make on the basis of a report are yours. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can delete your account from Settings in the app. Deletion is immediate and not reversible; it removes your account, reports, tracked topics and notification tokens. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel that with Apple or Google first, and the app will remind you.

We may close accounts that breach these terms or that are required to be closed by law, and will refund any unused prepaid period where we are able to.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
